Louise Knott Ahern is a USA Today bestselling author and accomplished journalist with over 30 years of experience as a professional writer, editor, and writing coach.
Writing as Lyssa Kay Adams, she’s the author of the hit series The Bromance Book Club, published by Penguin Random House. Known for her witty and heartfelt storytelling, her books have been celebrated in The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, Men's Health, Buzzfeed, and Woman's World, and have garnered acclaim on NPR and the Today Show. The first book in her series has been optioned by Netflix for a feature film. Lyssa's exceptional contributions to the literary world have earned her a place in the Library Reads Hall of Fame, a monthly list showcasing the nation’s most anticipated new releases as selected by librarians.
Before moving into fiction, Ahern had an illustrious career in journalism, recognized with numerous accolades, including a national Sigma Delta Chi Award for feature writing and several Circle of Excellence Awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
As the founder of LKA Publishing, she offers book editing and coaching services for both emerging and established fiction writers. She is also the founder of the Capital City Writers Association and the host of the annual Write on the Red Cedar conference in East Lansing, Michigan.
An experienced educator and speaker, she teaches writing workshops and is available for speaking engagements to share her insights and expertise.
